Tearfund UK

Mission Statement

Relieving suffering and offering hope are at the heart of Tearfund’s vision. We work with our partner organisations, donors and supporters, and together with the local communities themselves to tackle the underlying causes and consequences of poverty and bring transformation to the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.

We value partnership and encourage and facilitate community participation because we recognize that the resources and knowledge of all cultures and communities have value. We are a Christian organization and our approach is characterized by respect for those in need regardless of their religious beliefs.

We are committed to professional excellence at all levels of our organization.
