The Process Excellence Energiser training inspires and equips NGOs, nonprofits and other development and humanitarian actors to continuously improve in order to reach more people in a better way with the limited resources entrusted to them.
Process Excellence integrates corporate world Lean and Six Sigma thinking, concepts and tools with development and humanitarian principles to enable organisations to achieve greater impact, empower and engage their teams, and continuously improve to make their work easier, better, faster and cheaper.
The training begins with an engaging three-hour experiential exercise that helps participants to grasp the thinking, concepts and tools in a tangible and memorable way. Then we cover:
- What is a process, and why are good processes important?
- What is Process Excellence, and why is it important?
- Eight types of waste that hinder our work
- Seven ways to improve for better process performance
- Toyota Kata (a structured method for continuously improving)
- Applying the learning
Training facilitator Andrew Parris shares his thoughts and experiences here: https://www.eu-cord.org/2023/02/achieving-greater-impact-in-a-better-way/.
