As EU-CORD continues to shape its climate and environment discussions, Christian (Strømme) and Nico (Dorcas) are leading this work. They began by launching a survey to understand members’ priorities, and the results are clear—there is a strong demand for practical, action-oriented learning and collaboration that integrates faith perspectives into climate action.
What Members Want to Learn
Our members have highlighted a strong preference for practical learning opportunities, particularly in the following areas:
- Best practice approaches to climate adaptation and resilience
- Innovation in climate-smart agriculture and biodiversity protection
- Water management—from flood prevention to drought mitigation
- The fusion of local knowledge with scientific solutions
While hands-on learning is the priority, there is also interest in exploring the theoretical aspects of climate change, especially how faith-based organisations can shape awareness and response strategies.
How Members Want to Learn
Engagement should be interactive and participatory, with members preferring:
- Group exchanges and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Expert presentations, including insights from rural farmers and grassroots leaders
- Online workshops with Q&A
Advocacy: Strengthening the Faith-Based Voice
There is a clear call to amplify the faith-based perspective in climate advocacy, particularly in Brussels. Respondents want to:
- Bring a global faith-based perspective into policy discussions
- Advocate for climate and environmental justice
- Work strategically with other faith-based networks to strengthen collective impact
How to Engage
As part of this effort, we are hosting three conversations within the network in 2025 to explore these themes further. These discussions are open to EU-CORD members and their national implementing partners, providing a space to share insights, exchange experiences, and shape our collective approach to faith-driven climate action.
