What we do
EU-CORD is a network of Christian organisations committed to creating a just and equal world. We facilitate collaboration among members and their counterparts to develop partnership approaches, diversify funding options, and access funding from the European Union.
Our efforts include equipping members to advocate on issues of humanitarian action, sustainable development, peacebuilding, and the role of faith-based organisations.
We also seek to communicate the unique value of faith-based actors and enhance mutual learning and capacity building within our community.
How we do it
EU-CORD achieves its mission through strategic priorities such as enhancing partnership collaboration, focusing on EU funding opportunities, implementing agile advocacy, and promoting Christian identity in programming. It also introduces new program areas like the Faith in Action and Learning Space programs to address existential funding challenges and foster mutual learning.
These efforts are underpinned by cross-cutting themes like showcasing faith-based organisations’ roles, supporting disability-inclusive action, reframing partnerships, and addressing climate crisis impacts.
Why we do it
Our work is driven by the urgent need to address global challenges. With 700 million people in extreme poverty, 1.8 billion living in fragile states, 100 million forcibly displaced, and over 3 billion in areas highly vulnerable to climate change, the stakes are high.
Recognising that 80% of the global population identifies with a faith, we leverage the unique role of faith-based organisations in development and humanitarian cooperation.
By enhancing advocacy, supporting EU funding navigation, and building capacities, we aim to make a meaningful difference. Rooted in Christian values of relationship, servanthood, and compassion, we approach these challenges with agility, collaboration, and hope.
Our programme portfolio
EU-CORD’s programme portfolio includes several key areas, each designed to strengthen our network’s capacity for humanitarian, development, and advocacy work.
