Step 1:
Complete the Online Application Form
Start by filling out our online application form.
Step 2:
Meet with EU-CORD Leadership
If the criteria are met, a meeting will be scheduled with the Administrative Council. This council acts as the executive body of the General Assembly and plays a crucial role in the application review process.
Step 3:
Present Your Organisation
You can present your organisation to the Administrative Council
Step 4:
Wait for the General Assembly Vote
Your application will be voted on during one of the General Assembly meetings, which take place in the spring or autumn. This step is crucial for final approval.
Criteria for EU-CORD membership
- Reputation
Has a good reputation and can demonstrate a commitment to quality and accountability in its activities. - Agenda
Has an international agenda whose primary aim concerns at least one of the following: the eradication of poverty, reduction of inequality, and ending social exclusion through activities relating to international development, peacebuilding, emergency relief, advocacy, human rights, and development education. - Legal Status
Is legally established in a European country.
- Governance
Has an independent governance structure (Board of Trustees or Directors). - Operations
Maintains its own operations to address its aim rather than acting as a parent organisation’s fundraising subsidiary. - Affiliations
An organisation with other affiliations must accept that membership of the Association is exclusive to itself and does not confer any rights on any affiliates. If any affiliated agency wishes to benefit from membership of the Association, it must apply in its own right.
