The International Labour Organisation defines Green Jobs as “decent jobs that contribute to preserve or restore the environment, be they in traditional sectors such as manufacturing or construction or new emerging sectors such as renewable energy and energy efficiency

What does that mean concretely in a development and humanitarian context? How can we create green jobs, or make existing ones ‘greener’? How do we balance green ambitions and market realities?
