Mission

In a broken world full of poverty and injustice, Woord en Daad seeks to make the signs of God’s coming Kingdom visible. The Christian perspectives of justice and compassion motivate us each day to contribute to a sustainable change that benefits all people.

Vision

Woord en Daad connects people worldwide in their efforts to overcome poverty and to realize a dignified existence for every individual. Woord en Daad cooperates with partner organizations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Our Approach

We believe a system change approach is needed to realize this, so Woord en Daad cooperates as much as possible in multi-stakeholder partnerships with governments, businesses, civil society organizations and knowledge institutes to reach a maximum impact. We work in long-term partnerships with civil society actors. Lobby and advocacy are important for our development approach.

Through our programs – Agricultural Development, Sustainable Water, Education, Emergency Aid and Resilience, Job Booster, Awareness Raising and Policy Influencing – we have been working on sustainable change for 50 years.
