The Brussels Faith-Based Organisations group, of which EU-CORD is a member, invites you to the following dialogue:
EU-Africa partnership: how to foster coherence, credibility and trust? Dialogue with religious and faith-based actors from Africa and Europe
Following up on previous conversations with religious and faith-based actors from Europe and Africa on issues of shared concern with regard to the EU-Africa partnership, we wish to continue this dialogue process and create a space for an informal exchange under the theme “EU-Africa partnership: how to foster coherence, credibility and trust?”.
We would like to gather insights and experiences of faith-based actors from Europe and Africa on how to make a fair and people-centred partnership of equals a reality. During the conversation, we may identify some guiding
objectives and principles for such a partnership from a faith-based perspective. We will also analyse the existing partnership regarding concrete policy approaches and initiatives. Do current approaches present obstacles on the way towards a genuine partnership of equals, or are positive drivers present that should be further strengthened to foster trust, credibility and coherence in the future EU-Africa partnership? The analysis may also help us formulate
concrete recommendations for actions that could take the EU-Africa partnership forward.
